Abstract:

National applicant surveys reveal that mature applicants rely on the Internet as much, and in some ways even more, than teens. With the spread of high-speed internet and popularity of online video, it is important to understand the new technologies that adult students are exploring. Social media brings marketing to life and helps institutions "speak" with prospective and current students. Academica Group's social media team has helped more than 100 Canadian PSE institutions approach the Facebook question and will present solutions and best practices for approaching Social Networks, Wiki's, Blogs and Rich Media. Academica Group's iPSE solutions bring your message to life with student and alumni video interviews, and use community tools to build relationships and tap into pre-existing communities such as YouTube, Facebook and more.
