A 57-year-old man has been charged with fraud over $5,000 following an RCMP investigation into alleged financial wrongdoing at the First Nations University of Canada, which is facing censure by the Canadian Association of University Teachers. Regina RCMP began investigating FNUC after police were notified in May 2005 of alleged financial irregularities at the university, and looked into activity from January 2003 on. Although it appears likely the man charged is a current or former FNUC employee, neither the RCMP nor FNUC is releasing more details at this time. Regina Leader-Post
