The Ontario Legislature passed back-to-work legislation yesterday to bring an end to the 12-week strike at York University. The union representing the striking teaching assistants and contract faculty has withdrawn its threat to pursue legal action against the legislation and members are preparing to get back to the classroom. 50,000 York students are expected to return to school on Monday.
