At Academica Group we respect your Internet privacy, and we feel you should know how we use any information you provide to us.
This Website: This website collects personally identifying information about you only when you specifically and knowingly provide it to us. Personally identifying information that you provide to us will not be made available to third parties without your explicit permission. However, as a research company, we do make aggregate statistical information available to third parties for government policy and market research purposes. Any information that personally identifies you will be kept strictly confidential, used only for the purposes you specify, and destroyed when no longer required.
"Personally identifying information" is information that can be explicitly used to identify and/or contact you as an individual. This includes information like your real name, e-mail address, mailing address, and phone number. Information that cannot be explicitly linked with your "real" identity is not considered personally identifying. Examples of this are favourite or book-marked websites, or your browser preferences.
"Cookies" are pieces of information that a Web site transfers to an individual's hard disk for record-keeping purposes. Cookies can make the Web more useful by storing information about your preferences on a particular site. The use of cookies is an industry standard, and many major websites use them to provide customized features for their users. Academica Group currently does not use cookies on its website, however.
Email: When you send us e-mail, we will use your name and e-mail address only to respond to your concerns.
Surveys: As North America's leading higher education consumer research company, Academica Group conducts surveys for a wide range of colleges, universities, technical institutes, and government agencies. If you have received an email from us inviting your participation in an online survey, we have most likely been provided that email address under strict privacy controls by an educational institution or scholarship provider. When you completed the application form for college, university, or scholarship programs, you likely consented to the use of your information for research purposes. Although our automated system may send you one or two reminders to participate in the survey, your email address will not be used for other purposes without your specific consent.
Academica Group's privacy officer, should you wish further information, is:
