Vice-President of Research Operations

With more than 15 years experience in applied research, Connie specializes in public sector and education-related research, and has coordinated hundreds of studies ranging from program evaluation and stakeholder needs assessment through to nation-wide syndicated studies like Academica's UAS™ and CAS™. Connie has a deep understanding of how to construct research that engages respondents, minimizes ambiguity, and explores complex issues, and works with analysts to mine the resulting data. She oversees all research-related activities, ensuring quality and validity of methodology, instrument, complex statistical analysis and reporting.

Prior to joining the Academica team almost a decade ago, Connie conducted research with regional public schools for the London Investment in Education Council, and worked as a statistician and research analyst for Nielsen Marketing Research and Statistics Canada.

Connie holds a BA in Administrative and Commercial Studies and an Honours diploma in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario, and a Masters in Sociology from the University of Waterloo. While a graduate student, she spent two years as a teaching assistant.
